Training Course

Among the events promoted by the Centro Sub Campi Flegrei as part of the VIII Edition of the ArcheoCamp Underwater Archaeology Exhibition, the advanced training course in Underwater Archaeological Reconnaissance Methodologies: Mapping Techniques and Computer Applications will be held from 28 October to 3 November 2024, an educational initiative supported by A Quantum Inc. and by the Italian Archaeological Expedition in Japan – Jomon Sea Project – directed byInternational Research Institute for Archeology and Ethnology. The course will focus on systematic sampling procedures in particularly dynamic seabed areas, through the use of direct and digital mapping techniques of archaeological evidence and the application of GIS software for the management and spatial analysis of the collected data.
