Nitrox (Enriched Air)

170€
Description
The PADI Enriched Air Diver course is the most popular PADI specialty. Why? Because diving with enriched air provides you with more non-stop time, especially in repetitive dives. If you're interested in staying in the water longer and getting back to diving sooner, then don't hesitate to become an enriched air diver.
If you are at least 12 years old and are at least PADI (Junior) Open Water Diver, you can enroll in the Enriched Air Diver Specialty course. Please note that, in some regions, the minimum age requirement is higher.
Academic
In addition to nitrox equipment considerations, you'll learn why diving with air that contains more oxygen and less nitrogen gives you more bottom time. During a practice session and two optional (or required) dives:
You will discuss how to manage oxygen exposure.
You will practice analyzing the oxygen content of your tank.
You will set up your dive computer for enriched air nitrox.
Thanks to the PADI Enriched Air Diver course, you could earn school credit. Ask your instructor how to do it.
Equipment
Most modern dive equipment and computers can be used with enriched air, but your PADI Instructor will confirm whether what you have meets manufacturer recommendations and local requirements. In any case, the cylinders will have to meet the standard requirements for oxygen and be dedicated for use with enriched air. You will practice using oxygen analyzers and special tank decals.
